Visit Butte

Visit Butte, the tourism arm of Butte Convention and Visitor Bureau, promotes Butte, Montana as a destination for travelers, event planners, and media. Through marketing, visitor resources, and local insights, the organization works to highlight the character, history, and businesses that define the community.

Digital Spark Creative partnered with Visit Butte over the course of multiple seasons to build a commercial photography library representing the local experience of Butte.

Visit Butte needed a cohesive and authentic image library that could be used across a wide range of marketing materials.

The focus was on capturing locally owned restaurants, bars, and retail businesses in a way that reflects the personality of the community. The imagery needed to move beyond generic or stock-style visuals, instead highlighting real people, real spaces, and the character that makes Butte a distinct destination.

Our Approach

We provided ongoing photography support over an extended period, capturing a wide range of businesses and environments throughout Butte.

The approach prioritized:

  • Authentic, people-focused imagery featuring business owners, staff, and customers
  • Interior and detail shots that highlight atmosphere, materials, and local character
  • Consistency across locations to build a cohesive and recognizable image library
  • Flexibility to work across multiple businesses, schedules, and environments
  • Coordination of model releases to support use across regional and tourism marketing channels

Photography was captured across multiple sessions and seasons, allowing for a broader representation of the community and its businesses. Final images were professionally edited and delivered for use across websites, brochures, social media, and broader tourism campaigns.

The final photography provides Visit Butte with a robust and flexible image library that supports how the city is promoted across tourism channels. By focusing on real businesses and real people, the imagery helps communicate the authenticity of the Butte experience, supporting marketing efforts aimed at attracting visitors while also highlighting the local community.
